“A unique artist, deeply in touch with the landscape around her. Donegal Dreams is a song that captures the North West Coastline with delicate layered strings, pipes and vocals beautifully evoking a childhood memory and experience.”
Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, RTÉ Folk on One
Tia Bow marks a new chapter for Irish songwriter, Fionnuala Fagan-Thiébot. Moving away from songs rooted in oral histories, Tia Bow, channels a deeply personal narrative, charting life's landmark moments stepping between shadow and sunlight.
Her sound, a unique blend of folk and electronica, draws inspiration from Irish folk artists like Mary Black and Maura O’Connell as well as trip-hop pioneers, Massive Attack and Portishead. This distinctive style is showcased on her upcoming debut album, Blackberry Path, set for release in 2026. Produced by Michael Mormecha of Tree Song Studios, the album features his signature electronic beats, electric guitar, and percussion, alongside transcendent vocals, keys, synths and strings by Tia Bow and long-term musical collaborator Irish-Filipino musician, Clare Galway.
Supported by the CQAF Music Bursary and an ACNI Project Fund, Tia Bow's Folktronic style, blends electronic textures with powerful, story-driven songwriting.
New album, Blackberry Path, coming in 2026!

“Taken, is for those who care; the healers, the listeners, the quiet ones.” (Tia Bow)
“Beloved, is for all those passed, and for those of us left behind still trying to find a way without them.” (Tia Bow)
